After the incident, many activists came out to speak about the unethical and non-transparent nature of several leading brands such as Zara, Forever21, HnM etc.
There has been an increased demand in sustainable clothes since the Social Media Outbreak.
World Fair Trade Organization launched a product label in 2014 which guarantees that practices across the supply chain are checked against WFTO standards. The label is awarded to companies who account for 100% fair trade and are dedicated to a transparent and accountable supply chain. The only brand to receive this label so far is People Tree.
